It’s Installed (Streamlined for Architects)
Topping System
The Topping System is a high-performance overlay designed to resurface and upgrade existing concrete or asphalt surfaces. When combined with our VubaMac base, it forms a monolithic bond and delivers a fully permeable surfacing solution. We offer three recommended application depths, each tailored for specific use: pedestrian areas, vehicles driving on and off, and areas with frequent turning or heavy-duty traffic.
Base Preparation
- Asphalt or concrete base prepared and primed.
- For ecological installations, the optional VubaMac base layer may be used for enhanced strength and SuDS compliance.
Binder & Aggregate Mixing
- On-site forced-action mixing of resin and aggregates (typically 2:1 ratio) for consistent texture and crack resistance.
Application & Finishing
- Resin-bound mix hand-trowelled to the designed depth (6–12 mm).
- Gently compacted, edged, and levelled for a smooth finish.
Curing & Usage
- Light foot traffic permitted after approximately 3–4 hours.
- Full exposure and low-volume vehicle access possible in under 24 hours.
