The Art of Seamless Design

High-performance architectural Microcement system for floors, walls, and bespoke surfaces.

Refined. Resilient. Remarkably thin. Our architectural-grade Microcement options deliver a seamless, concrete aesthetic without the limitations of traditional materials.

A Finish Without Compromise

Trusted by top architects and designers, our Microcement creates a seamless, modern finish that feels as good as it looks, perfect for high-end homes and commercial spaces.

Product Features & Technical Benefits

FeatureBenefit
Ultra-Thin Application (2–3mm)Enables overlay on existing substrates without major demolition or floor buildup.
High Compressive Strength (~30MPa)Comparable to structural-grade concrete when cured correctly. Resists wear in high-traffic zones.
Crack-Resistant FormulationPolymer-modified system designed to move with the substrate and reduce microcracking.
Seamless & WaterproofGroutless application ideal for wet areas and minimalist detailing. Fully sealed system resists moisture ingress.
Bespoke AestheticAvailable in a wide tonal range with cloudy, layered effects. Hand-trowelled for unique, artisanal texture.
Rapid InstallationFaster turnaround than polished concrete or large-format tile. Minimal disruption to ongoing works.

Ideal Applications

  • Bathrooms & ensuites
  • Open-plan living spaces
  • Commercial fit-outs & retail environments
  • Feature walls & sculptural surfaces
  • Bespoke joinery, benchtops & stairs

Architectural Flexibility

Our Microcement system is more than just a finish—it’s a design tool. Applied seamlessly across floors, walls, furniture, and curved surfaces, it unlocks a level of continuity and spatial flow unmatched by tiles, timber, or polished concrete.

Surface textures can be specified as:

  • Smooth matte
  • Cloudy with subtle tonal variation
  • Burnished effect for depth and movement
  • Satin seal for light reflectivity

    FAQs

What is microcement and why choose it?

Microcement is a thin, seamless cement-based coating that delivers a modern, textured finish. It’s used to transform floors, walls, bathrooms, and more. Suitable for new builds or commonly used for renovations where it can save the need for demolition.

You can book a consultation through our team. We’ll assess your project, recommend the right system, and connect you with an approved local installer.

Pricing depends on the size, condition of your surface, and the complexity of the design. Typically they start at $300/sqm for floors but there is a range of variables that can affect price. Get in touch for a tailored quote.

It can be applied over concrete, compressed sheeting, waterproofing membranes, screeds, and even tiles.

Yes, traditional Microcement such as our Microtopping or Architop can feature trowel marks or colour variation, and that’s part of the charm. Every surface is hand-finished, so you’ll see subtle movement and natural variation. No two applications are the same. For projects that require a smoother, more uniform finish, we also offer Solidro, a system designed for consistency and flatness across the entire surface.

Once sealed, Microcement is highly water-resistant, ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and wet areas. Our Idealwork Solidro Microfinish is also a fully waterproof finish before sealers.

Yes, certain systems are formulated for external use. We’ll recommend the right product based on your project and exposure.

Absolutely. With the right prep and primer, microcement can be applied directly over tiles, saving time and cost on demolition.

Typically 5–7 days depending on surface size and site conditions. We’ll give you a clear timeline before starting.

We offer a curated selection of designer colours, from soft neutrals to deep, moody tones. Custom colours are also available.

You can contact us directly or follow us on social media for design tips, case studies, and behind-the-scenes installs.
